Meet the Team
We are an independent veterinary practice in Hastings, St Leonards, driven by our shared passion for animals. Our top priority is the wellbeing of your beloved pets.
Mario
I’m Mario, a compassionate veterinary surgeon driven by a personal journey that ignited my passion for animal care. After the loss of my beloved dog in an accident, I felt compelled to turn my grief into something meaningful, leading me to pursue a career in veterinary care.
My professional journey as a vet began in South Africa, where I laid the foundation for a fulfilling career focused on the well-being of animals. Throughout the years, my insatiable curiosity has propelled me to attain two certificates, showcasing my ongoing commitment to enhancing my skills and knowledge.
Beyond the operating room, I share a vibrant life with my cherished dog, Kiki. Together, we embrace an active lifestyle, enjoying activities such as running, paddle boarding, and hiking. This personal connection with animals extends beyond my professional responsibilities, underscoring my genuine passion for fostering the health and happiness of pets in every aspect of my life.
Adam
I’m Adam, my journey in veterinary medicine began at a young age, growing up in a household where the veterinary practice was our second home. Surrounded by animals of all kinds, I developed a profound empathy and understanding for their needs, leading me to dedicate my life to caring for animals as a compassionate veterinarian.
With 18 years of experience in the field, I’ve had the privilege of honing my skills through diverse experiences in various veterinary practices and referral centres. My unwavering commitment to excellence led me to pursue a certificate in small animal surgery, empowering me to deliver advanced surgical care to my patients with precision and expertise.
Outside of the clinic, you’ll often find me tending to my garden, finding solace and joy amidst the blossoms and greens. I also enjoy playing the piano, finding harmony in both notes and nature. However, my greatest joy comes from spending quality time with my two children, cherishing every moment we share together.
Nick
Hi, I’m Nick, Head Veterinary Nurse here at Mojo Vets. I have always had a love of all animals since a young age, growing up with pets of different shapes and sizes. I completed my Vet Nursing degree at Nottingham University in 2020 and haven’t stopped learning since!
I enjoy all aspects of veterinary nursing, but particularly enjoy theatre work. I am also very keen on ensuring all the pets who visit Mojo vets, experience as little stress as possible. I can often be found in our kennel/cattery wards providing care and comfort to our hospitalised patients.
Away from work, I like to be active and play football for a local team. Aside from this I particularly enjoy spending time in my garden with my partner, and rescue cat ‘Gerald’.
Gemma
Hi, my name is Gemma and I’m a veterinary receptionist at Mojo Vets. I’ve been a receptionist for nearly two years and I’ve never loved a job as much as this. I have a diploma in pharmaceutical science so I apply my knowledge of medicine whilst dispensing here at Mojos.
I am passionate about treating people and animals with kindness and I hope to make clients feel welcome as soon as they walk through our doors.
I grew up with a lot of different animals and believe a house isn’t a home without a pet. I have three pets of my own, my dog Tifa, my rescue cat Toulouse and my crested gecko George. Also in my crazy household is my husband and two young children.
In my spare time, I attend the gym, play DND with my friends and I like to draw as it’s an interest I have carried throughout childhood up until now.
Jenny
Hi, I’m Jen and am a RCVS registered veterinary nurse here at Mojo Vets. After a long career in hairdressing i decided i wanted to do something different. I first joined the veterinary profession in 2008 as a receptionist for Chase Vets and soon felt that i wanted to take more of an active role in caring for the patients. I went on to become a Animal Nursing Assistant and then qualified as a vet nurse in 2015.
I have always loved animals and can’t actually remember a time in my life when I haven’t had any pets. I used to have quite a large menagerie of animals, but the list has gradually dwindled over the years so now have only a lurcher, George, and a cat called Harry.
I am dedicated to the care of our patients, and enjoy having little chats with them. I am really proud to be working for an independent veterinary surgery.
Nadine
Hi I’m Nadine
This is Timmy he’s 4 and is my shadow when I’m at home. I also have a 14 year old cocker spaniel called ‘Jarvis’; he’s a bit camera shy. I enjoy walking, gardening, hanging out with my family and Skiing.
In my spare time, I have volunteered at some animal shelters. I have worked in the veterinary industry for a very long time.
My favourite part of this job is cuddling the animals. I previously worked as a kennel assistant, so I’m enjoying my new role as a receptionist at Mojo Vets
